The Zanzibar Stone Town Heritage Society is located in Mizingani Road, very close to the port in the seafront of the city.

Its office sits in the ground floor of the historical building previously used as the Customs House.

How to become a member

Any person who lives, works or has any other connection with this unique old town can become a member.

Fill in an application form and submit it to our office. An annual nominal fee is required before your membership is activated. As a member you will receive:

  • Membership card.


  • Bi-annual news letter.


  • Special invitations to activities, and more.
